That momentum carried directly into 1981’s Point of Entry, which pushed forward with fresh sounds and bold ambition, further cementing their place at the very top of the metal world. Together, these albums confirmed Priest’s reputation as both chart-busting hitmakers and trailblazing icons of the genre.
To support Point of Entry, Judas Priest embarked on the mighty “World Wide Blitz” tour, storming across Europe and North America from February to December 1981. At their peak, the band were tight, fiery and utterly commanding, delivering arena-shaking performances with unshakable confidence. The tour was a celebration of heavy metal’s rise – a showcase of speed, precision and sheer power that left fans ecstatic and critics in awe.
